The University Fees Centre will assess your eligibility and calculate your entitlement when you apply for a Stafford loan. The assessment will be made in accordance with the information contained in your FAFSA and the guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Education. Your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC), private loan amounts and scholarships/sponsorship amounts are all deducted from the Cost of Attendance (COA) to determine your need for federal aid. In the case of a private loan, your EFC, Stafford loan amounts and scholarships/sponsorship amounts are all deducted to determine the amount of funding required to bridge any financial “gaps”.
