The Tucson Division accepts bankruptcy filings from individuals who reside or are domiciled in one of several southern Arizona counties including Pima, Cochise, Santa Cruz, Graham, Pinal and Greenlee county. Any Arizona resident can file bankruptcy in Arizona. If you file bankruptcy in Arizona, however, you can only claim Arizona’s asset exemptions if you have resided in Arizona for the previous two years. Otherwise, you must use exemptions of the state where you previously lived for two years.
