Who can hunt feral animals on declared State forests and Crown Land areas?

Only licensed, educated and accredited hunters may apply for written permission through a tightly controlled booking system to hunt on the 460 declared State forests and two Crown Land areas. The Restricted NSW Game Hunting Licence (R-Licence) is only available to hunters who have completed the mandatory training and accreditation program as members of Game Council approved hunting organisations. This means that R-Licence holders are people who have officially demonstrated knowledge in safe, ethical hunting practice and firearms use, legislation, conservation and animal welfare. The R-Licence will not be available to applicants found guilty of offences in the previous 10 years involving cruelty or harm to animals, personal violence, damage to property, unlawful entry onto land, or releasing animals into the wild for the purposes of hunting.
