A woman with a uterus 12 weeks LMP or smaller is eligible for treatment with misoprostol. Uterine size can be estimated by conducting a physical exam. Precise dating of the initial gestational age is unnecessary as long as the uterine size at presentation for treatment is equivalent to a pregnancy of 12 weeks LMP or less.
