Who can solve the following pairs of simultaneous equation ?
Hi Fabo, (i) a) 3x – 5y – 7 = 0 b) 1x – 8y – 4 = 0 Mulyiply both sides of (b) by -3 to get: -3x +24y +12 = 0 Now add it to (a) you get 19y=5 Y=5/19 or y=0.263 Now take the time yo calculate te x. (ii) a) 1x – 3y – 9 = 0 b) -9x + 9y – 4 = 0 Multiply equation (a) by 3 to get: 3x-9y-27=0 and add it to equation (b) to get: -6x-31=0 x=-31/6 or x=5.167 Now take the time to calculate the Y.
