Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?
a. The word “repentance” isn’t in this passage; but repentance isn’t really a word, it is something you do – and these people did repentance. b. The people of Nineveh believed God: Repentance begins with believing God. As we believe Him and His Word, we have the power to transform our lives as He wills.
