I don’t know exactly when I ovulate but I think I’m pretty good about it within a few days. I find that it gradually gets higher and softer and more open and just as gradually gets lower, harder and more closed. The CM changes are also pretty gradual but usually as soon as I notice the CP changes I notice my CM becomes creamier. Generally I figure that I have ovulated the first day I start noticing it getting a little harder and more closed. Good luck and baby dust!!!
