Who cheat more, men or women?
A man is more likely to cheat but for certain evolutionary purposes that is often ignored by the mainstream culture. Women have the advantage because mate selection is primarily up to them, and so there is little to no evolutionary pressure on them. Men are more “prone” to cheat due to the biological impetus to spread their genetic material. Men and women have divergent evolutionary agendas, but both with the same overall goal: To ensure the survival of their own genetic legacy. Given our equipment, we go about it in very different ways, and it occasionally manifests in a way that the culture frowns upon. Women house the mechanism for producing life within their own anatomy, men possess the final ingredient. Thus, to achieve maximum success, we have to follow different patterns.
