The concept of the Teddy Bear was taken from a cartoon by Cliff Berryman called ‘Drawing the Line at Mississippi.’ First Teddy Bear in Germany designed by Richard Steiff, and first in U.S. by Rose Michtom. Teddy bears are said to have been developed concurrently in both the US and Germany.
