Who did julius caesar like more- marc antony or augustus (octavius)?
Marc Antony was closer to his age, and had shared in his campaigns and political infighting.Octavian was still a teen when Caesar was killed, and there is little indication thta he and Caesar spent much time together. Certainly they didn’t share something like a friendship. But it was Octavian he made his successor, so something about Octavian must have impressed him. Especially given that Antony enjoyed the loyalty of several Legions and various political figures. This would indicate that Antony was the type of guy you hang out with on the weekends, but you don’t loan money or your car to.
