Who do you think had the most succesfull career as a band, Nirvana or Green day?
It cracks me up that someone would actually call Nirvana a one hit wonder. Someone who obviously either wasn’t conscious of music during that period, or hopefully wasn’t born yet and just is WAY over their skis with their opinion. Nevermind was a radio monster, and I think In Utero and the live in New York had a couple tracks that “made the radio.” At any rate, that’s a new and quite amuzing piece of ignorance that for me ranks up with a poster a while back who asked about “90s bands like Led Zeppelin.” Anyways, that’s actually a really interesting question. I suppose that you would have to say Green Day because they shined almost as brightly for much longer. I think that you’d inevetibly give the legacy points to Nirvana because Nevermind did Green Day a whole world of favors (really, Green Day hit the scene as a sort of a lighter, goofier Nirvana that wasn’t on heroin. Sort of “acceptibly controversial”), but I can tell you that I would rather be a very bright star for a really long
