Who do you think is the greatest actor ever dead or alive?
I think a great actor shows his/her true talent by what they do with a character they are to play & their ability to bring us in to that world in the story. Also, I don’t believe it’s ONLY the actor. I think that saying “it takes a village” applies here where it’s such a combination of gifted & talented people that bring the story together. The director’s ability to visualize what he wants to draw out of the actor, the creators editing the sound, animation & special affects, also the editors that put together the numerous takes to choose the very best ones & put them together with a story that will cause us to react. Like Titanic. That definitely took a village & every actor, even those in supporting roles like Kathy Bates, look at how she added the humor & support to the lead roles. Every actor deserves equal credit as part of the village. Like in Erin Brockovich, now that was raw pure talent from Julia Roberts & the village of other actors who made her more believable were wonderful.
