Who else thinks nobody should be compensated for the Icelandic Volcano Air Travel fiasco?
It’s not a question of being compensated, it’s reimbursement of monies incurred for hotel/food whilst stranded and taxpayers’ money isn’t involved. I was stranded in the UK for 5 days and managed to get back to the states the day after the flying ban was lifted and didn’t experience anything other than co-operation from BA and people quietly doing what they had to do to get back to their homes. By the way, I won’t be making a claim for food, etc. just a refund for my cancelled flight since I had to pay double for a one-way ticket.
