Who falls into the category health professions?
Students who are interested in allopathic (MD) and osteopathic (DO) medicine, dentistry, optometry, podiatry, and veterinary medicine. Students often refer to themselves as “pre-med”, “pre-dent”, etc. Students also interested in allied health careers such as physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and others are also considered pre-health students.
