Who gave Lakireddy Bali Reddy the scholarship to come to the United States to be educated for free?
While I was struggling to pay off school loans for my education, Lakireddy Bali Reddy was buying real estate and starting businesses with employees he imported from India. Thanks to all the help and patronage he received from Americans, Lakireddy Bali Reddy had assets of at least an estimated $50 million before he was “convicted in 2001 for immigration fraud and trafficking minors for illegal sexual activity”. Those assets gave him the power to make my life extremely stressful from his and his family members’ personal and legal harassment of me. In 1983, I was living in Berkeley in a one-bedroom apartment. The proximity to public transportation meant that even when I did not own a car, or my car was unusable because it needed repairs, I could get to the temporary accounting jobs I also worked at while I did video production work. Even though the wooden floors had been ruined by a previous tenant who apparently left a leaking waterbed to protest an eviction, I liked my apartment.
