Who has taken yaz birth control before?
I am now on Yasmin, but I started on Yaz and was on it for eight or nine months. I really liked it when I was on it. I had minimal spotting, usually started my period on time (and because there are only four inert pills, my period usually lasted only five or six days), and my periods were usually lighter. I didn’t gain or lose any weight while I was on it and my PMS symptoms were alleviated considerably. Yaz caused me no emotional problems or feeling of downness. I had to switch to a higher dose pill because Yaz randomly stopped being strong enough to stop my period after the inert pills. I bled heavily (soaked through multiple pads over the course of hours) for almost a week and it took taking several pills in one day to stop it. Yaz worked fine until that point, though, and I was secretly wishing my gynecologist would give me a different reason for that freakish occurrence, because I really liked being on Yaz (and Yasmin has been costing me at least $10 more!!). I didn’t get pregnant
