The federal government has a program called IND or investigational new drug which supplies cannabis to several patients in the U.S. and has since the 1970’s. There are also 12 states that currently allow the medical use of cannabis under a physician’s supervision. Several cities in Michigan now also allow the medical use of cannabis.
