The Mayans, Egyptians, Babylonians, Romans, and Chinese all had calendars in the ancient days. We use the Gregorian calendar decreed by Pope gregory XIII. I couldn’t tell you which came first because no one knows when the first calendar was invented or who did it. It is all a mystery!
