Hi Marguerite: I always find your columns quite funny. I fully agree with your thoughts in your October 17th column about “bling” on vehicles, but do you know you used the word “car” 12 times! You certainly seem to have cars on your mind! “Startled” Dear “Startled”: I received quite a couple of positive calls about my column of Oct 17th and I myself am quite “startled” that as you have pointed out I used that word so much. So after your message (which was left without a telephone number for me to return your call), I hurriedly rechecked that column and found that I had used the word “car” not twelve times but thirteen times! Not very good. Careless writing! What am I, “car struck”? I probably am. I do have not all cars – but a particular one on my mind – and that is mine. The make of my (unadorned, boring looking) vehicle, I will not disclose because it is easy to identify from whence it came.
