Who is an “Eligible Applicant” that can apply for a state body armor grant?
An “eligible applicant” is an applicant that completes and timely files an application with the Division of Criminal Justice, requesting body armor for its eligible officers and certifies that it will utilize grant funds to purchase body armor for its eligible officers. An “applicant” is any local law enforcement agency, the Division of State Police, the Division of Criminal Justice, the State Department of Corrections, the Probations Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts, or the Juvenile Justice Commission that makes application for a Body Armor Replacement Fund grant.
