Who is Argus?
Argus is most commonly known as the 100 eyed monster who was the faithful servant of Hera. Only two of his eyes closed at once which made him a beneficial watchman. He is also known for his memorable killing of a bull which ravaged Arcadia. He even killed the monster Echidna who often carried away passer-byers. Argus also provided justice for the Arcadians when they were robbed of their cattle from the Satyr; he killed him. Argus met his death by Hermes after he was lulled into a 100 eyed nap and was struck during the capture and liberation of Io. Where did Argus come from? Argus is said to born of Gaea though sometimes he is considered the son of Inachus of Agerior. His possibly father may have been Iasus.
