Ballpark Construction is nearing completion and Regency Furniture Stadium will open on May 2, 2008. The project is funded by Opening Day Partners, the state of Maryland and Charles County. Ballpark architect is Tetra Tech, Inc. from Wilmington, Delaware, which designed the minor league ballparks in Lancaster (Clipper Magazine Stadium), York (Sovereign Bank Stadium), Aberdeen (Ripken Stadium) and Salisbury (Perdue Stadium), among others. The Maryland Stadium Authority is the Project Manager, while Skanska is the Construction Manager.
