Who is Hanuman?
Hanuman is a character from the Hindu epic, the Ramayana. When the wife of Prince Rama, Sita (Shita, Shinta) is stolen by the demon king of Lengka, Rawana, Rama enlists the aid of the monkey king Sugriwa to get her back. The chief of the monkey forces is Hanuman. He is reagarded as a god by Hindus, and is always associated with Rama. He is an example of loyalty and bravery.
