In 1989, Kadir Taskin came to USA as a tourist and started to work at Turkish restaurants as a cook for six months. In this period he realized that if he continuous to work this way he cannot expand and open his own business in the future. Thus, he started to search for opportunities to open his own business even when he didn’t know any English or have any capital to open a business by that time. First, he opened a small café however because of his little capital he ended up with bankruptcy. After his bankruptcy he started to work again in a pizzeria. While he was working at the pizzeria, he realized the big demand for Turkish breads and pastries. This realization made him pursue to bake “Turkish Pide” and “Simit” at night at the pizzeria he worked in the morning as return.
