Who is Mr. Pumblechook in Great Expectations?
Mr. Pumblechook is Joe Gargery’s ( Pip’s brother-in-law) uncle. He’s the one who makes the connection for Pip to Miss Havisham. Mr. Pumblechook is a corn merchant. He doesn’t like Pip that much and Pip really doesn’t like him, especially after he finds out that Pumblechook is a liar and an imposter (Pumblechook pretended to be Pip’s anonymous benefactor).
