Patrick Joseph Kennedy II (born July 14, 1967) is an American Democrat serving in the United States House of Representatives, representing the 1st congressional district of Rhode Island (map). He is the second son (and third child) of the late U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy from Massachusetts. He is also the nephew of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy; and former U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy from New York.
