Who is required to take a language placement test?
At least one test is required for students majoring in the following areas: American Studies, Anthropology/Sociology, Architecture, Art and Architectural History, Biology, Chemistry, Communications, Creative Writing, Dance Performance Studies, Elementary Education, English Literature, Environmental Science, Foreign Language, Graphic Design Communications, Historic Preservation, History, International Business, International Relations, Legal Studies, Marine Biology, Mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Secondary Education, Theatre, Undeclared Arts and Sciences, Undeclared Education, and Visual Arts Studies. Testing is recommended for students majoring in Accounting, Management, Computer Information Services, Computer Science, Construction Management, Criminal Justice, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Security Assurance Studies, Undeclared Business, Undeclared Engineering, and Undeclared Justice Studies.
