Every Australian can have a part to play in the reshaping of Australian agriculture. The changes are being driven by government and industry, by farmers and researchers, and by everyday consumers. CSIRO Land and Water researchers have been working on these problems for many years, in association with our partners and stakeholders. By being aware of the problem of environmental degradation caused by current farming systems, and of the need to design and support new methods that are better suited to Australia, you can start to have an effect on changing the future. A lot of environmental damage has already occurred. The sooner we can develop and establish new and improved agricultural systems, the sooner we can find ways to improve our ecosystem and repair some of the damage.  more
