Roseann Teresa O’Donnell (born March 21, 1962 in Bayside, Queens, New York) is an 11-time Emmy Award-winning American talk show host, television personality, comedienne, film, television, and stage actress. O’Donnell launched her career as a stand-up comic, and after several years of film and television appearances, she became notable for hosting her eponymous talk show, which ran from 1996 to 2002. In 2006, she replaced Meredith Vieira as co-host and moderator of the ABC talk show The View. Her contributions to the discussions on the show have generated widespread media coverage.
