Who is the building inspector and what are his hours?
A. Bob Gerbers is the building inspector. His hours are 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Ledgeview Town Hall. His telephone number is 336-3360, Extension 103. The building inspector must be contacted in order to receive a building permit. Permits are required for residential buildings, duplex buildings, garages/accessory buildings, residential remodeling, excavation/erosion control without structure, residential foundation repair/excavation, utilities, permanent signs, barns for private use, docks, in-ground and above ground swimming pools, and privacy fences. All swimming pools are required to have a fence. In addition, a permit is required for moving or demolition of a structure. Retaining fees are also required from contractors.
