Who is The Supreme Personality of Godhead ?
What can be said of the supreme being – is that it is ONE and beyond all duality, including personality, sexuality, and even existence itself. Yet from The One all things have emanated down. No name can be given because to name something is to have authority over it. Thus, a parent names its child and Noah named the animals. A name is also a limitation but the One cannot be limited or contained. To say that it is God is just a convenience for us. Because there can be no limit on the One since it is beyond all duality, this One is immeasurable and infinite – omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, and omnibenevolent. In The One we live and move and have our being. It is our center, our breath, our heart, our reason for living, our source, and our end.
