Who is the whig candidate for the 2008 election?
The Modern Whig Party is mainstream, legitimate and non-fringe. They are based in Washington, DC and are only in 13 states right now, and have expressed no desire to run a candidate just to lose. However, the Whigs are now the largest minor party in the nation with 10,000 members (6,500 in the military). They do not strike me as Barr people, but in fact would likely support Obama despite their strong military membership.
