Who is to blame for our changed flight times?

However, on January 23, Flightline informed us that for “operational reasons” there was an “adjustment” to the flight details. We were to travel with a different charter airline, Flyjet, leaving Manchester at 5.40am, which was fine, but our return flight would now depart at 9.50pm, arriving back at 2.10am. We spoke to CT2, which seems to be the company handling our booking, and complained that this was hardly a reasonable alternative. They have now managed to get us back an hour earlier with BA, but that is the best they can do. Why have we ended up on a less expensive night flight when we booked a morning flight? Flightline’s website is still advertising morning flights from Tenerife to Manchester on other charter carriers, so why can’t we swap our booking to one of these? Flightline says that, as the tour operator, CT2 is to blame, but I paid my money to Flightline. Does this not mean that my contract is with them? I would be very grateful if you could enlighten me.
