Who is using Workplace Massage?
Employers across the nation are discovering the benefits of massage. In the Washington, D.C., area, the Department of Energy and the Department of Justice offer seated massage to employees on a weekly basis, according to the Washington Post. Ann Garlow, health and fitness director for law firm Shaw Pittman, says attorneys and staffers have been receiving massage therapy services for five-and-a-half years. Since then, the firm has promoted massage as a way to increase alertness as well as relaxation.
