Do you want the pat answer that was pushed on the public or do you want the truth? It will always be debated. It is told that Lee Harvey Oswald shot the president from the book depository in Dallas that day. I don’t believe he acted alone and I think he was set up to take the fall. My dad taught me how to shoot and hunt when I was very little so I have seen animals get shot. On the night after it happened, I came home from work. I watched the Zapruder film over and over and over and over. It just kept playing. I plainly saw Kennedy put his hands up to his throat and then I saw a bullet rip through his head and send the back of head and brains backward to the right and they even spattered all over a cop behind the car. The next morning there was a totally different explanation about how he had been shot from the back and the bullet had also miraculously also gone through Connolly in the front seat. I have read a lot of books on the subject of the Kennedy assassination. I am in no way an expert on it mind you, I just have always found it an interesting part of history. After seeing the film JFK, and reading several books about the “conspircy”, I ended up being a die hard conspircy person. Not everything rang true to me, but I did believe there was some kind of conspircy. I decided I wasn’t being fair though, since all I knew about Oswald was what the conspircy people were telling me. I started to look for, and read, books that delt with Oswald only. I found it all very interesting, and then decided that Lee Harvey Oswald did act alone. He really was “crazy” enough to do it on his own. There are a lot of questions I have never really found the answer too yet, but that is the why history is sometimes I think. It was a plot between the CIA, who handled the cover up and provided the fall guy (Lee Harvey Oswald) and the Mafia,who provided the hit man. The CIA saw Kennedy as a dangerous loose cannon, who had nearly started WW3 and destroyed the world by bungling policy over Cuba.They therefore decided he had to be removed. The Mafia became involved because Kennedy reneged on a pre election deal;in return for Mafia help in winning the Presidential election of 1960,Kennedy agreed to shelve plans announced during his campaign for an investigation into Organized Crime.However, on election Kennedy appointed his brother as Attorney General, who then announced a government investigation into Organized Crime.This made the Mafia angry,and they wanted revenge.
