Hi Emmylou82, Charlie’s dad (Ross Buckton) killed Grant Bledcoe, who raped charlie as a teenager and made her pregnant with Ruby. He confessed after Charlie was arrested for Grants murder, he said that he met Grant on the beach and he said for Grant to leave Charlie and Ruby alone. Grant said to Ross that he will never let Charlie out of his sight and that Charlie will have to get used to having him around for a long time. Ross said to detective Robertson that the next thing he remembered is that he was standing back as he fell to the ground, his chest was bloody so was the knife in his hand. Then Robertson arrests Ross for the murder of Grant Bledcoe.
