Who made contribution to medicine, Hippocrates or Galen?

0

Hippocrates was an ancient Greek physician of the Age of Pericles, and was considered one of the most outstanding figures in the history of medicine. He is referred to as the “father of medicine” in recognition of his lasting contributions to the field as the founder of the Hippocratic school of medicine. Claudius Galen was a second century physiologist, philosopher, and writer who is often considered the most important contributor to medicine following Hippocrates. Even though Galen is fairly well known, his fame does not compare to that of Hippocrates, so Galen’s reputation and work are often underscored by Hippocrates’ notoriety. As to which had the biggest contribution, I would say Galen.
