Who makes applications for people with disabilities for tablet computers?

There is software that is specifically designed for people with disabilities. One such software is called Proloquo2Go by a company called AssistiveWare BV. They are one of several developers that are creating applications that are aimed at helping people with speech difficulties. Some of the apps offer images that the people can press and then it makes a sound of a word. Other apps lead students through stories in order to teach them word patterns. Even though there have been some special application software specifically designed for the disabled for laptops and desktop computers, it appears that tablets like the iPad are easier for people with disabilities to learn to use. They appear to adapt to them much easier that a normal PC. Proloquo2Go is able to open new doors for both adults and children who have cerebral palsy, autism and other developmental disabilities. It will also help people who have had a stroke as well as accident victims who are not able to speak anymore.
