This can go a couple different ways.lots of pollsters split the youth vote into two camps, one consisting of 18 to 24 year olds, and the other made up of those aged 25 to 29. But, for the most part, when someone is about to make a sweeping generalization about young voters, he or she is likely referring to the combined group, meaning anyone at least 18 but not yet 30 years old can lay claim to this particular 15 minutes of fame. Have young people finally mobilized? Sort of. But the bar was set exceedingly low. According to the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning Engagement (CIRCLE), more than 3 million Americans under the age of 30 voted in Super Tuesday contests. Sounds impressive, until we look at some percentages. In Arizona and Arkansas, the under-30s turned out at the paltry rates of 7 percent and 10 percent of eligible voters, respectively. That’s a lot of young people who chose to skip the whole affair. Their over-30 counterparts chalked up rates of 23 percent
