Who or what is Tangerine Dream?
Tangerine Dream is a performing group who’s music tends to defy any explanation and attempts to pidgenhole into any distinct classification. Since its formation in 1967, there was no ‘New Age’ or ‘Contemporary Instrumental’ section in your record store. TD’s musical style and artist line up are never static or predictable. Former members: • Klaus Schulze • Klaus Kruger (drummer for Iggy Pop) • Peter Bauman (Founder of Private Music) • Paul Haslinger (Solo artist and member of Lightwave) • Johannes Schmoelling • Christopher Franke TD’s current line-up consists of Edgar Froese, his son Jerome, and Linda Spa. All three play synthesizer/keyboards, Edgar & Jerome also play electric guitar, Jerome plays percussion and Linda plays Sax.
