The new graduation requirements are statewide graduation requirements, but the state only monitors student progress on the Certificate of Academic Achievement/Certificate of Individual Achievement requirement. Local schools and districts set the expectations and monitor student progress with the Culminating Project, High School and Beyond Plan and course credits.
