The copyright to any painting or reproduction does not automatically transfer to a purchaser when the artwork is purchased. Copyrights to all paintings remain the property of the artist, Carollyne Yardley, who reserves the exclusive right to the use of, or granting permission for the use of all Carollyne Yardley imagery for any and all purposes. Permission of use of any material shall include the Carollyne Yardley copyright notice. Protection under copyright laws is automatic in Canada: as soon as an original work is created, it is immediately copyright-protected. International treaties also protect Canadian copyrights in most foreign countries. Purchasers should keep this in mind when purchasing any of the artwork displayed on this or any other site.
