Who owns the land purchased through the Adopt an Acre® program?
Your adoption of an acre is symbolic and does not denote ownership. The Conservancy works with a network of local partners and believes that in most cases land is best managed when it remains in local hands. In some cases, the land acquired through Adopt an Acre is incorporated into already established parks and protected areas.
