The autopsy procedure involves a team of people lead by a physician, called a pathologist. A pathologist is a MD physician who specializes in the study of diseases. Also involved in the procedure are Pathologists Assistants, a American Society for Clinical Pathology certified professional similar to a Physician’s Assistant, and an Autopsy Technician.
