Who qualifies as a baby boomer?
The term “baby boomers” describes the generations of Americans born in the post-Second World War “baby boom.” While some historians believe that baby boomers were born between 1946 and 1964, no consensus has ever been reached. In addition to the controversy surrounding the years in which the baby boom began and ended, there is also disagreement about whether those individuals born in the second half of the boom are actually members of another generation, which has been called “Generation Jones.” Under this rubric, for example, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush qualify as “Boomers,” while Barack Obama, born in 1961, would be considered a “Joneser.” A SAMPLING OF CELEBRITY BABY BOOMERS 1946 Bill Clinton, 42nd U.S. President Donald Trump, real estate developer/ entrepreneur George W.
