You must be above the age of 21 and only a qualified physician can determine if you are a candidate for Intacs. Your eyes must be healthy and have no major eye disorders. People who are approved for Intacs are those who have glasses or contact lenses between -1.00 and -3.00 diopters with no more than 1.00 diopter of astigmatism.
