Who runs the beer gardens and where does the money go?
Manitoulin Country Fest II beer gardens were run by Little Current Legion Branch #177 and the Little Current Lions Club as a fundraiser for their own respective endeavours. The beer gardens are run separate and apart from the organizers of Manitoulin Country Fest whereby the Lions and the Legion monitor the area themselves, control the hours and pricing. Please note, the main stage ends at 11:00pm each night. It is important for the beer gardens to be empty well prior to that time. Accordingly, the Lions and the Legion felt it necessary to close the beer gardens at approximately 10:00pm to ensure folks made it to their shuttles on time. Placement of the beer gardens is just off the side of the main stage out of view of the staging area. The reason for his is merely that this event is promoted as a family event.
