A woman should not have the micro-insert occlusion method if she: • Is allergic to the dye that is used for the X-ray. • Is sensitive or allergic to nickel. If you do not know, you can have a skin test to find out. • Does not want to or cannot use another method of birth control for at least three months after this method is started. • Does not want to or cannot return to have a special X-ray test about three months after having the procedure done.
