Who Signed the Kyoto Protocol?
The Kyoto Protocol aims to combat global warming by reducing emissions of greenhouse gases around the world. As of October 2009, 187 states have signed and ratified the protocol, which went into effect in 2005. One notable signatory has not yet ratified the protocol, and that is the United States.
