Who started the Leesburg Police Citizens Support Team and why?
Our organization was founded in 1996 by a forward-looking Chief of Police who recognized the need to engage the citizens of the community in a closer relationship with the Police Department. Our goal was to maintain the quality of life we had in our community in view of the changes occurring so quickly around us due to our County’s rapid population growth.
